440Hz, the music rights management platform for audiovisual producers, announces today the exciting debut of a music supervision branch. This expansion is part of the company’s organic development and has already secured HBO Max, Disney + and Netflix as new major clients.

With years of solid industry experience and an extensive established network in France and abroad, 440Hz announces today the launch of a new branch dedicated to music supervision. From spearheading recruitment of composers or bands to facilitating rights clearance or executive production, this fresh division confirms the company as a true ally of producers and directors for all activities related to music for film.

By managing music production for the successful international series LUPIN, 440Hz has established itself as an expert player in the music supervision industry and has already signed with multiple streaming platforms to assist on several major projects:

• Une Zone à défendre: the first feature film produced in France by Disney+ and Chi Fou Mi, and directed by Romain Cogitore with a cast that includes François Civil and Lyna Khoudri. 440Hz will handle the rights clearance, hiring of the composer and executive production of the music for a very ambitious and ‘off the beaten path’ score.
• Transatlantic : a series to be broadcast on Netflix and produced by Cactus Films/Airlift Productions GmbH. Directed by Anna Winger (Unorthodox) with Gillian Jacobs, Cory Michael Smith and Gregory Montel. 440hz is in charge of hiring the composers, clearing the rights to pre-existing tracks, putting together a jazz band for a live scene in the film and executive production of the music that will be recorded at Abbey Road’s legendary Studio 2.
• Home Sweet Rome : a series from the creators of Hannah Montana to be produced by Redmonk (Italy) and First Generation (Canada) for HBO Max. Music will be at the heart of this new production, which will feature original songs composed by Hannah Montana’s songwriters (Chen Neeman and Alex Geringas). 440Hz has been entrusted to secure the American songwriters, select and hire the score composer, and clear the rights for the pre-existing music, some of which will be performed by the actors/actresses in the series
• Untitled movie : An animated feature film directed by Steve Box (Oscar winner for Wallace & Gromit) and destined to stream on Netflix. 440Hz has been brought aboard to select and hire the composer, define the musical DNA of the project (in close collaboration with the director and producer), and clear the rights as well as to produce later in the project’s development
