Something Special, the Seoul-based international Format agency founded by Format specialists Jin Woo Hwang, President & Executive Director, and InSoon Kim, EVP and Head of Content, announce that Germany’s Tresor TV has optioned the hit Korean celebrity format Battle in the Box.
Tresor TV, a subsidiary of Keshet International, produced many popular global formats for the German market including I Can See Your Voice, Germany’s Next Top Model, Survivor, and The Supernanny, among others. This is the first format deal between the two companies.
Battle In the Box is a fun competition game show format in which two celebrity pairs team up to live together in a specially designed box set, where the size of living space and their budget are determined through a series of games and challenges.
Hwang and Kim stated: “Tresor TV has produced fantastic high-quality television shows with Korean formats since they first started and they’re the perfect partner to take Battle in the Box. This fun- packed celebrity competition game show is a major hit in South Korea, and we can’t wait to see how Tresor brings it to life for German audiences.”
