Leading independent distributor All3Media International has announced its MIPCOM slate, featuring a raft of hotly anticipated and premium titles across scripted, factual and formats.
Heading up the scripted slate is Drama Republic’s The English, which will launch at the market with a MIPCOM Special Red Carpet screening attended by A-List cast Emily Blunt and Chaske Spencer as well as creator Emmy-nominated writer and director Hugo Blick and Drama Republic producer Greg Brenman. The epic Western follows the quests of an aristocratic Englishwoman, Lady Cornelia Locke (Blunt) and an American Indian, Eli Whipp (Spencer) in 1890 mid-America, as they join forces to cross a barren and violent landscape, facing increasingly terrifying obstacles that will test them to their cores. It’s a captivating blend of mesmerizing story, stunning landscapes, visual flair, and remarkable performances.
Also launching is The Gymnasts, a new drama from the Oscar-winning creative team at Indigo Film. Combining powerful coming-of-age drama with compelling murder mystery, this captivating thriller tracks the most important week in the lives of an elite team of teenage athletes.
The taut psychological domestic thriller The Ex-Wife, from Clapperboard Studios, Night Train Media and BlackBox Multimedia also features at the distributor’s scripted slate . The four-part series follows Tasha, whose life appears perfect- she lives in a beautiful house with a loving husband and a gorgeous baby daughter. But the constant presence of Jen, her husband’s ex-wife. As Tasha starts to suspect that something is going on between Jack and his ex-wife, but can she trust her instincts or is she just jealous?
All3Media International will also present a stellar lineup of premium factual content at the MIPCOM. Two titles from the award-winning team at 72 Films feature on the distributor’s slate- The Real Crown, which reveals a modern and forensic exploration of the British Royal Family and Rise of the Billionaires which explores the origin stories of Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Sergey Brin and Larry Page; the digital entrepreneurs who have built the modern society and shaped the world we know today.
Additionally Story Films’ bold anthology series Hauntings explores paranormal stories through a premium, true crime lens. Told with the narrative rigour of a cinematic box set it explores and investigates stories of Britain’s and the US’s most terrifying and intriguing hauntings, that will leave audiences genuinely scared and always entertained.
From Lion TV, All3Media International will present Saving Venice, a visually stunning documentary with unprecedented access to first-person stories at the heart of the battle to save this spectacular and unique city from rising seas and over-commercialization, and Stolen: Catching the Art Thieves, a captivating series that follows how audacious heists, priceless masterpieces and the criminal underworld are connected across three separate thefts in Germany, Sweden and Norway,
Meanwhile, true crime documentaries and blue-chip nature series strike a note on All3Media International’s premium factual slate. Top Hat Production’s The Box exposes the truth behind one of America’s worst serial killers, ‘a new Ted Bundy’ hiding in plain sight in small-town America. Obsessively Creative’s Wild Oman offers an enthralling, visually spectacular journey of Oman’s natural world using the latest camera technology and shot in 4K to provide unprecedented access to rare creatures and never-seen-before animal behaviors.
All3Media International will also be launching the hotly anticipated new format The Unknown at MIPCOM. From idtv, the creators of the international hit format The Traitors, The Unknown is a new psychological adventure reality, which asks “Do you dare to choose the unknown?”
The aforementioned The Traitors will also feature on the distributors format slate. This nail-biting, edge-of-your-seat new adventure series following recent commissions from Peacock in the US, BBC One in the UK, M6 in France, HBO Max in Spain and Network TEN in Australia,
Finally, new furry format, The Dog Academy will feature on All3Media International’s MIPCOM line-up. From the award-winning team at Five Mile Films, behind hit human-hound matchmaking The Dog House, tracks the journey of misbehaving mutts and their owners as they try to find a happier, more harmonious relationship.
