Leading UK true crime production company FirstLookTV announces Academy Award and Emmy winner Helen Hunt (Mad About You) will narrate its upcoming Lifetime series Meet Marry Murder. Devised and Executive Produced by FirstLookTV’s Will Hanrahan, the series premiers on Monday, 3rd October at 9 pm ET/PT as part of Lifetime’s Life & Crime Mondays.
With ten episodes ordered from FirstLookTV by Lifetime, Meet Marry Murder asks what happens when the person you have pledged to spend your life with becomes the most dangerous person in your life?
Meet Marry Murder explores 10 US homicide cases of spouses insidiously killed by their partners. Told by the family, friends, and colleagues who best knew them, the investigators committed to finding out the truth of twisted lies. With chilling storylines of romance, betrayal and greed, detective intrigue, and more, Meet Marry Murder digs into relationships that have shockingly turned deadly.
The series takes a deep dive into several cases and uncovers a world of scenarios that end in murder – from a husband who broadcasts his intent to kill his wife on YouTube, to a woman driven to commit murder for a life insurance pay out, and a successful Louisiana attorney slain by the man she met after a car crash brought them together.
Will Hanrahan, founder of FirstLookTV and executive producer on Meet Marry Murder, says, “As a UK indie, we take a huge amount of pride in winning a commission for a primetime series from Lifetime, one of the major US networks. With our unique workflow production methods, the team at FirstLookTV is continuing to win key broadcasting slots, which further builds our reputation as a leading international producer of True Crime to broadcasters across the world.”
The series is the newest offering of the network’s Life & Crime true crime slate, joining previously launched series, #TextMeWhenYouGetHome, Phrogging: Hider in My Home and Sleeping with a Killer.
Meet, Marry, Murder is produced by FirstLookTV with Will Hanrahan serving as executive producer. Amy Winter, Brie Miranda Bryant, Nicole Vogel and Shura Davison executive produce for Lifetime.
