Coming to you hot as legendary singers and new stars go face to face in a battle under the wings of three Anugerah Juara Lagu winners in TV3’s newest and adrenaline-filled programme to win the title of Terpaling Juara. This brand new programme will start broadcasting on 21 August 2022, every Sunday night live from the studio of Sri Pentas 2, Plaza Alam Sentral, from 9.00 pm to 10.30 pm.

Terpaling Juara will see 3 captains competing against each other with 6 contestants in the span of 8 weeks. Akim Ahmad (Juara Lagu 30 – Potret), Hael Husaini (Juara Lagu 32 – Jampi & Juara Lagu 33 – Haram) and Naim Daniel (Juara Lagu 34 – Sumpah) are all-rounders known for their roles as singers, songwriters and lyricists with outstanding talent, as well as winning artists for Malaysia’s prestigious award, Anugerah Juara Lagu. These team captains are chosen to guide a legendary singer and upcoming star contestant to perform every week with the theme of #playlistAJL. They will breathe new life into existing popular AJL songs with their own twist that will surely spark nostalgia to all who tune into Terpaling Juara! Who will win the crown for Terpaling Juara and bring home a cash prize of RM100,000? 

Three of the biggest names in the music industry, Ifa Raziah, Hazami and Rahmad Mega will be joining in to grab the challenge of a lifetime in order to strengthen their influence and musical careers. Ifa Raziah, otherwise known as the queen of dangdut, Hazami with lovely vocals in the world of ballads, as well as Rahmad Mega, an exceptionally talented rock singer, will together rock the stage with their performance of AJL songs that have made it to the final stages. What will be their secret weapon for this programme, and will they be able to compete with other songsters of their league?

Shaz (Shazreen Shaharum, 26), Aqmal (Aqmal Ramdan, 26) and Aqeesh (Aqeesh Aleeya, 18) have been selected through auditions that took place on 2 & 3 July 2022. In a fierce competition between 380 participants during the audition, Shaz, Aqmal and Aqeesh successfully won their spots to compete in Terpaling Juara. How will they prevail in the presence of senior singer lineups with years of experience? 

Terpaling Juara will feature Haziq Hussni and Shiha Zikir as hosts, as well as Datuk Hattan and Fauziah Latiff as juries of the show. Terpaling Juara will stream for 8 episodes and will open with performances from all six contestants before the 3 captains announce the selection of 2 contestants of their choice. The winner of Terpaling Juara will get a chance to bring home a winning prize of RM100,000, while the runner-up will receive RM50,000 and the third place winner receives RM30,000.
