Nitin Michael and Hasnaa Descuns, co-Founders of SynProNize, Dubai-based content distribution and production company, announced that they are continuing to move Arabic dramas into new territories in Africa and Asia by acquiring two premium television series: Al Ekhwa (aka The Siblings) which will be licensed into Ghana and Haramlek (aka Seraglio) which will be licensed into Bangladesh.

The Siblings (Al Ikhwa)

Events revolve around five brothers who inherit their father’s estate after his death. Just as they are believing that their lives will become better and financially stable, an illegitimate daughter appears and aims to acquire the largest share of her father’s estate. Having strong proof that this is her right, according to the will of the late father, this news shakes the entire family causing conflicts, conspiracies, betrayal, and revenge, bringing drama and suspense.  SN1: 51 episodes; SN2 – 65 episodes (116 total hours).

Seraglio (Haramlek)

This historical political dramas take place when the Mamluks gain the power and control of the public political scene and defeat the nation’s supposed enemies. This time period showcases when the Ottoman Empire began to disintegrate, and the West began to interfere in Syrian life. The timeline of the story also covers the period when rituals such as “nights of merriments” spread, and the concept of espionage became active. SN1: 30 episodes; SN2: 30 episodes (60 total hours).

Hasnaa Descuns stated, “SynProNize has always believed very strongly in the potential of Arabic content to travel to and be monetized in various countries across the globe. Our latest acquisitions are just another step to further reiterate this belief. Our clients and their audiences who have already sampled Arabic content have only come back wanting for more which is why we shall continue our acquisition of content from the Middle Eastern markets and partner with production houses from the region to maximize returns from their content”.
