TV3 is celebrating its 38th anniversary this June, with a selected one-month lineup of programmes for the nation’s enjoyment. Catching Malaysian hearts since its first establishment on 1 June 1984, TV3 will continue to bring bold and quality content with this anniversary campaign, TV3 Sentiasa Bersamamu. In this spirit of celebration, TV3 has prepared a vast selection of programmes and surprises to commemorate this special month. 

Dato’ Khairul Anwar Salleh, Chief Executive Officer of Media Prima Television Networks and Primeworks Studios said, “TV3 has aired for 38 years in our country. As the decades pass by, we are now in the digital era where information and content can easily be obtained at our fingertips. It can be said the same for programmes as they too go through phases of innovation and change. Following this, the workforce and production crew at TV3 will continue the commitment, ensuring the Malaysian fan favourite TV3 programmes like Buletin Utama, Anugerah Juara Lagu, 999, Majalah 3, Jejak Rasul, Malaysia Hari Ini and Wanita Hari Ini continue to be innovative, and are up to par to our viewers’ preferences and expectations.” 

Dato’ Khairul Anwar Salleh adds, “In this whole month of June, we hope that faithful viewers of TV3 will be amused at our special lineups of original programmes and telefilms from our nation’s very own line of creatives, as well as a selection of blockbuster films in Panggung Sabtu and Magnificent 8 that will bring you the classic Jurassic Park franchise series.”

In conjunction with TV3 Sentiasa Bersamamu, TV3 has exclusively collaborated with illustrator Miriam Omar to create the official look of the celebration, incorporating TV3’s programmes and journey throughout the decades. Miriam’s magic touch represents TV3’s hit shows as well as iconic monuments that celebrate Malaysia as a country. 

Malaysia’s number one television programme Buletin Utama presents viewers with 7 special reports from 26 May 2022 onwards, starting the countdown for TV3’s 38th anniversary. These special reports cover programmes on the channel that have successfully captured the support of many such as Anugerah Juara Lagu, Majalah 3, Nona, Jejak Rasul, Malaysia Hari Ini, Wanita Hari Ini, 999 and last but not least, Buletin Utama. Joining this enthusiasm are 12 legendary newscasters that have returned to bring you news along with the current newscasters of Buletin Utama. 

Tanyalah Ustaz will also make its feature on 1 June, as they begin the excitement of the ceremony with a doa selamat from the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque with live audiences. Catch the programme as host Da’i Hadhari, and panels Ustaz Rodhi Rejab and Ustaz Zul Ramli speak about blessings around ageing, that will be broadcasted at 6.30am on TV3 and TV9. 

Another segment dedicated to this anniversary brings Malaysia Hari Ini and Wanita Hari Ini in the loop, with a special episode and activity where TV3 invites viewers to compete in a pulut kuning decorating contest that took place from 19 May to 26 May. Winners will be announced live on Wanita Hari Ini on 1 June, 12.00pm. 

This special anniversary celebration will also feature Nona, where current host Amyra Rosli meets former host Neelofa in a joint effort to celebrate the topics of past, current and future women empowerment stories. This special episode for TV3’s anniversary will be broadcasted on 4 June at 2.00pm. 

For fans of true crime stories, TV3 has prepared a 999 special to unravel trials and cases that have made it to news headlines on dates 7 and 14 June. 999 will also bring the inside scoop of true stories that changed the government’s view on laws towards HIV and the Malaysian identification card. 

For fellow telemovie watchers, the channel will air 4 telemovies in the whole month of celebrations. The Cerekerama slot proudly brings Dendam Penunggu (Ismail Izzani & Shalma Eliana), Matahari Tak Bercahaya (Nad Zainal & Fattah Amin), Dania (Aedy Ashraf & Puteri Balqis) and Langit (Eira Syazira & Azad Jasmin) for viewers, every Saturday night at 10.00pm. Two of these telefilms were inspired by true stories from the 999 special report on the HIV incident (Matahari Tak Bercahaya) and Malaysian identification card (Dania). 

That is not all as Panggung Sabtu features some of top Bollywood stars Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai in fan-favourite films Bodyguard, Guzaarish, Main Aurr Mrs Khanna, and English Vinglish. Starting from 4 June, Panggung Sabtu movies can be watched every Saturday at 2.00pm. 

In line with the new Jurassic World Dominion release in theatres, Magnificent 8 brings viewers along to the adventure of the Jurassic Park series. This excitement of a series will be broadcasted from 12 June onwards, every Sunday from 3.00pm. 

To finish it off, TV3 is inviting viewers to Fiesta TV3 Sentiasa Bersamamu, bringing the amusement of the anniversary to Sri Pentas on 18 June. Doors will be opened to the public starting from 10.00am, where visitors can join in the fun and interact with invited guest celebrities.
