Beyond Borders: Inside American Immigration (6 x 60’ Peninsula Television for Quintus Studios)
Beyond Borders is a compelling and heart-stopping documentary series that draws on exclusive access to ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and ERO (Enforcement and Removal Operations). ICE carries out thousands of removal operations every year, the past few having been exceptionally tough for the men and women working on the frontline of America’s immigration. The series captures in gripping detail the high stakes game of cat and mouse played out every day across America between law enforcement and those regarded as foreign criminals evading justice.
In all cases the action was followed in real time, accompanying officers and witnessing the tension and personal interaction, which surrounds every forced removal.
The World’s Most Dangerous Rescues (6 x 60’ Middlechild Productions for Quintus Originals/ WELT)
This series offers an in-depth look at some of the most remarkable and unknown rescue missions planet earth has seen, told first-hand by those who experienced them.
Each episode features a variety of five to six different dangerous rescues that have been caught on camera, both those that are familiar and others that flew under the radar but are no less incredible, whether it’s being saved from a tsunami, dragged from a ferocious fire or a plane that has crashed in the middle of the ocean.
Using UGC material, eyewitness testimony via new interviews with the main protagonists and news archive to retell these extraordinary human stories of survival, this series will recount these extraordinary tales in a way that has never been done before.
Crisis In Cocaine Valley (1 x 60’ Maximus Films for Quintus Studios)
In the Peruvian Andes, deep in the rainforest, is the Cocaine Valley – the largest production site of the drug in the world. Every month, 200 laboratories produced several tons of the coveted drug. Then came Covid… with far-reaching consequences as cocaine has been threatened with extinction ever since.
With exclusive access to numerous key players in the region, ‘Crisis in Cocaine Valley’ ventures through rivers and the deepest jungles to successfully track down abandoned as well as active cocaine pools and drug labs to uncover the impact on the drug trade. We reveal how the party line in Santa Rosa – the centre of Cocaine Valley has collapsed, and with it, the local people.
In addition, the documentary presents the whole crisis in a global context, creating a connection between the development in the Cocaine Valley and our own world, diving deep into the world of cocaine and how Covid has changed it.
“The Quintus Originals initiative is not only boosting our sales catalogue in regards to numbers of hours, but especially in terms of diversification. So I am very proud to bring our strongest and broadest slate to the market in April,” said Gerrit Kemming, Managing Director at Quintus Studios.
