Calling all Formula 1 (F1) fans: StarHub has secured the rights to air the upcoming 2022 FIA Formula One World Championship! All StarHub Sports+ and Sports Pass subscribers will have the high-octane action beamed onto their screens “live” at no extra cost, when the season roars to an open on 18 March with the FORMULA 1 GULF AIR BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX 2022 at the Bahrain International Circuit. Following a successful year broadcasting F1 in 2021, StarHub customers will be able to continue rooting for their favourite F1 drivers via Hub Sports 1 and Hub Sports 2 (Channels 201 and 202), with the action also available for streaming on their preferred smart devices across all networks.
Come October, Singapore fans can once again live out their need for speed, as F1 returns to Singapore after a two-year hiatus. With StarHub, which will be airing all Grand Prix events in the season, including practice sessions, qualifying and the races, they will be teleported into the buzzing stands at the Marina Bay Street Circuit and experience the adrenaline from their homes or on the move.
The 2022 season promises to be bigger and better, as F1 enters an exciting new era with brand-new cars and regulations for drivers and teams to get to grips with. With newly crowned world champion Max Verstappen defending his maiden title, and runner-up Lewis Hamilton going for a historic eighth title after narrowly missing out on the top spot, motorsport enthusiasts can look forward to a sequel to their bruising battle on the tarmac last year.
Only on StarHub Entertainment, sports fans can enjoy the most comprehensive coverage of top-tier sports with a single pass. All they need is a Sports+ Pass at $20 per month, with a two-year contract. Aside from F1, Sports+ subscribers can catch the pinnacle of European football with the Bundesliga, La Liga, Ligue 1 and Serie A; fast-paced tennis rallies with all four Grand Slams, ATP and WTA; jaw-dropping slam dunks with NBA; and hard-hitting combat sports with WWE and UFC. StarHub will also be the official broadcasting partner of the Premier League for the next six years and will be announcing full pricing details in June 2022.
