Mola, the OTT multimedia company encompassing sports, music, and film content, extends its existing partnership with the PGA Tour, the leading organizer of men’s professional golf tournaments.
This collaboration through Discovery grants Mola exclusive rights to broadcast PGA Tour events in Singapore, beginning with the two events on the schedule this week: the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard; and the Puerto Rico Open, March 3rd to 6th. Mola’s entertainment and sports subscription costs viewers just SGD 5 per month.
Golf’s popularity surged in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic due to its compatibility with social distancing rules. In addition to inspiring a surge in participation, the PGA Tour led the return of sports in 2020, and viewership soared as fans around the world were hungry for live competition.
“Expanding our partnership with Mola into Singapore is a natural next step for us given the success we’ve had in Indonesia,” says Thierry Pascal, SVP – International Media at the PGA Tour. “We trust Mola, the most capable and innovative streaming service, to deliver our exclusive content to fans, uniting the global PGA Tour community.”
“Thrilled to collaborate with the PGA Tour is an understatement,” says Mirwan Suwarso, official representative of Mola. “We are immensely proud to grow our partnership and support PGA Tour’s viewership in Singapore. We are happy to act as a conduit between the Tour and their flourishing global fan base through captivating live content.”
