Globally-successful Korean guessing game show format, I Can See Your Voice, has been renewed by Antena 3 for a second season in Spain, after the music guessing show became a ratings hit in its first season.
Produced by Warner Bros. International Television Production Spain, I Can See Your Voice is a mystery music guessing game show, where contestants need to guess whether a mystery singer is a good singer or bad singer without actually hearing them sing, based on a series of clues, interrogation, and lip-sync performances. Locally named as Veo cómo cantas, and hosted by Manel Fuentes, the show has shown its strong competency in the nation with season 1 premiering last September with market share of 16.9% and 1.7 million viewership.
Diane Min, Head of Format Sales at CJ ENM said, “We are very excited to extend the season in Spain with Antena 3. I believe that I Can See Your Voice will again give another level of fun and touch audiences with warm stories, even in the midst of the pandemic situation.”
The format recently received international recognition at 2021 Fresh TV Formats, presented by CEO of the Wit, Virginia Mouseler, as one of the top five formats that have been adapted the most over the last six months.
I Can See Your Voice has also been nominated as a Best Non-Scripted Entertainment at 44th International Emmy Awards and Best Light Entertainment at 2020 Venice TV Awards.
I Can See Your Voice debuted in South Korea in 2015, and as of today, it has been commissioned in 23 countries worldwide, including the US version on FOX, which premiered its 2nd season in January 2022. Season 9 will premiere in Korea the same month, making the show one of the longest-running shows in Korea.
