Studio886 announced its official launch with 11 Taiwan-based content partners on social video platforms and new media platforms, and the service is a sub-brand under the Taiwan original scripted content production firm, Studio76.
Studio886 marks the first-ever content aggregation service in Taiwan that aggregates quality broadcast content from local media partners and distribute their content on a wide array of new, non-traditional media platforms such as Youtube, Facebook, Tiktok, BiliBili and FAST streaming channels etc.
Studio886 has signed a global new media distribution agreement with these eleven major Taiwan content partners – Formosa TV, Sanlih Television, Eastern Broadcast Corp., Era Networks, Next TV, Pili Int’l Multimedia, Da-Ai Television, MOMO Kids Channel, One Productions, SOFA Studio and CK Stanley Int’l Media – representing top Taiwan drama titles like In A Good Way and the famous martial art action drama Fei Lung, blockbuster movie titles like Orz Boys and Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?, animation titles like MumuHug and the iconic Pili puppetry shows, representing a library size with more than 4,000 hours of quality Mandarin-speaking content.
Studio886 will license the content, edit them in platform-optimized clips, create subtitles and channels in seven languages ( English, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Bahasa Indonesian, Portuguese and Spanish ) and assign dedicated editors in those languages on Youtube, Facebook Watch and other VOD and social media platforms to promote Taiwanese content to the global audiences. Studio886 will run a global quarterly viewer analysis with all participating partners of how their content is being viewed and enjoyed by the global audiences. Studio886 has reached a global content partnership agreement with Youtube.
