Disney+ Singapore partners with regional headliner Joel Tan (Gentle Bones) and rising popstar Iman Fandi, for a special rendition of Gentle Bones’ new song titled “You’re My Superhero”. With the tagline “Not All Heroes Wear Capes”, the uplifting and inspirational duet is part of the STAR Heroes campaign that recognises and celebrates the everyday heroes amongst us.
Disney+ Singapore collaborated with the duo to feature a new rendition of Gentle Bones’ ‘You’re My Superhero’ that encourages its listeners and commends those who continue to exemplify qualities of courage, strength, love, faith, and hope on a daily basis. The team stretched themselves creatively to produce this new rendition with a beautiful and impactful message. Consumers can stream “You’re My Superhero” on Spotify, Apple Music, and many other music platforms worldwide.
Home-grown producer-singer-songwriter Gentle Bones shared, “It was a huge honour working on this campaign, and the message of the song really mirrors the everyday bravery and dedication of the emergency responders showcased in the STAR titles on Disney+. As we often take their work for granted, it’s important that we highlight their efforts that saves countless of lives and are essential to keep us going. Growing up on Grey’s Anatomy, the TV series helped me to understand the countless sacrifices that medical workers have to make for others. Being a long-time fan of Disney, having one of my tracks featured in the STAR Heroes campaign is quite the dream come true!”
Model-singer-songwriter Iman Fandi shared, “I’ve always been a huge fan of medical and first respondent dramas, especially The Resident and 9-1-1! It’s fascinating to get a special glimpse into the action that happens in the operating rooms and to follow along in the high-action police chases. I’m thrilled to be a part of the STAR Heroes campaign and thankful for the opportunity to work on this special edition of “You’re my Superhero” with Gentle Bones – it’s been a blast!”
As a salute to the everyday heroes amongst us, the STAR Heroes campaign highlights the popular medical drama and first responder TV series, including Grey’s Anatomy, The Resident, 9-1-1 and Station 19.
