An eclectic mix of romance and thrillers to set your heart racing
Travel back in time to the Joseon dynasty and enter a world of fantasy and romance with the all-new Viu Original series Lovers of the Red Sky. Starring rising actors Ahn Hyo Seop and Kim Yoo Jung, it’s a touching love story about the gifted Hong Cheon Gi who joins the palace’s royal academy as Joseon’s first female painter. She finds herself inexplicably drawn to Ha Ram, an astrologer and government official who lost his sight in an accident when he was young. Set your heart aflutter with You Are My Glory, featuring leading screen lady Dilraba Dilmurat as movie star Jing Jing, who unexpectedly reunites with her high school crush Yu Tu (Yang Yang) through an online game. The romance continues with Police University, a new rom-com that will be streaming first on Viu from August 10. It stars veteran actor Cha Tae Hyun as Yoo Dong Man, a seasoned detective and teaching professor at the police academy who meets new recruits from all walks of life, including the intelligent hacker Sun Ho (Jin Young) and righteous Kang Hee (Krystal).
Switch gears to enter a world of lies and betrayals in The Road: The Tragedy of One and discover the secrets of the residents who live at “Royal the Hill”, a place where only the top 1% of South Korea’s population resides. Currently streaming on Viu is the highly-rated drama The Devil Judge, starring Ji Sung as the titular Devil Judge. It is set in dystopian present-day Korean Society, where the courtroom is run like a reality show and the true intentions of the Devil Judge are unknown. Another thrilling, must-watch series is Voice 4, where the team races against time to save the victims of real-time incidents from phone calls received from the emergency call center.
That’s not all – get your heart racing with these award-winning crime movies too! In Voice of Silence, two men working for cartels as cleaners find themselves responsible for taking care of a young kidnapped girl. Innocence is based on a true story where lawyer Ahn Jung In (Shin Hye Sun) fights for justice to defend her estranged mother after she is wrongly accused of killing someone at her husband’s funeral. She uncovers the village’s dark secrets in the process.
