STUDIOCANAL announced they are set to make espionage thriller EUROPA, based on the acclaimed best-selling Fractured Europe Sequence series of novels by author Dave Hutchinson published by Solaris, an imprint of Rebellion.

Produced by SEVEN STORIES and executive producers Anand Tucker, Colleen Woodcock, Robyn Slovo, Peter Straughan and Tomas Alfredson. EUROPA reunites STUDIOCANAL with writer Peter Straughan, director Tomas Alfredson, and producer Slovo following their collaboration on Academy Award-nominated and BAFTA-winning production TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER SPY.  

The 8 x 1 hour series is written by Peter Straughan (Wolf Hall, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) directed by Tomas Alfredson (Let the Right One In, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) executive producers are Anand Tucker (Girl with a Pearl Earring, Red Riding), Colleen Woodcock (The Iron Lady), and Robyn Slovo (Mc Mafia, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy).  

The rights deal for the book was brokered by Luke Speed of Curtis Brown Group on behalf of Alexander Cochran of C&W Agency.   

STUDIOCANAL is actively producing a slate of premium international series in-house, as well as through its network of award-winning subsidiary production companies, which includes Germany’s TANDEM Productions (Shadowplay), the UK’s RED Production Company (Years and Years, It’s a Sin), and Spain’s BAMBÚ PRODUCCIONES (Instinto).
