Reed Exhibitions Singapore (RX Singapore), announced that it has entered into a licensing agreement with Generation Experience Pte Ltd, allowing it to organize the Singapore Comic Con (SGCC) events. SGCC was last held in December 2019, attracting 50,000 attendees; the 2020 event was cancelled due to COVID-19. With this arrangement, pop culture fans around the region can look forward to returning to the home of their fandom and once again sharing their collective love for all aspects of pop culture.
“Generation Experience is honoured and excited to be handed the reins to Singapore Comic Con. SGCC has always been a special place for us to come together as a community and celebrate our love for all things in the fandom universe. We cannot wait to see each and every one of you again!” Ms Michelle Lim, Founder, CEO at Generation Experience Pte Ltd.
Adding on, Mr Joachim Ng, Director, Media Industry Development at Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) said, “We are delighted Singapore Comic Con will return to feature at this year’s Singapore Media Festival. Creators and fans of video games, cosplay, toys and comics can look forward to another exciting lineup of games and pop culture from Generation Experience.”
