Afterward, based on a true story, is about a father struggling with the death of his daughter who sets out on a quest for truth and justice against corruption and small-town politics. Directed by Dito Montiel (Empire State, Son of No One) the feature stars Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight, Thank You for Smoking…) and Terrance Howard (Crash, Iron Man…), production starts April in Louisiana and will be distributed by Lionsgate’s Grindstone Entertainment in North America. The rest of the world territories will be handled by Angel Oak Films – while OMG will be selling Asia rights.
Betrayed Within and Escape from Love, developed for Lifetime Television in North America and available theatrically worldwide, will be shot back-to-back and produced & financed by, Thriller Films, OMG & Alianza Films.
Betrayed Within starts production in Chicago this April and will be helmed by actress, director & producer: Elisabeth Röhm. Röhm who recently directed Girl in the Basement for Lifetime Television will direct a diverse cast including, Kelly Mi Li (Bling Empire…) and principal actors Nicky Whelan (Hall Pass, The Wedding Ringer…) & Chen Tang (Mulan, Warrior…), headlining this female-driven thriller, about a bride whose wedding seems to be unravelled by an unstable sister out of rehab, while an unsuspecting member of the bridal party is the real culprit.
Escape from Love stars Elisabeth Röhm (American Hustle, Law & Order…) & Archie Kao (CSI, Chicago P.D….). After working and getting married in China, two newlyweds, Lauren & Lee, go on their honeymoon back in the states when things take a turn for the worse and Lauren is kidnapped and forced into a money-laundering scheme by Lee’s crazy ex, Sadie, who will do anything to get her man back.
