Singtel TV announced that 2019 Sing! China premiered at the #1 spot in ratings for all programming in its timeslot across all pay-TV channels in Singapore, with more than double the ratings of the next best-rated show.
Singtel’s Chinese language Asian entertainment and lifestyle channel, e-Le, also topped pay-TV ratings among Chinese viewers during the season premiere of the hit singing competition on Friday, 19 July from 9 – 11pm, which was simulcast with China.
To bring 2019 Sing! China to a wider audience, the series is now available on e-Le, in addition to Jia Le Channel which aired previous seasons. Created and launched by Singtel last October, e-Le is available for free to all Singtel customers on Singtel’s CAST mobile video app and Singtel TV.
Combined ratings of 2019 Sing! China’s season premiere on e-Le and Jia Le Channel was 208% higher than last season’s premiere among Singtel’s Chinese customers. In addition, live and repeat telecasts of the first 2019 Sing! China episode through the premiere weekend (19 – 21 July) reached 89% more unique Chinese viewers on e-Le and Jia Le Channel, as compared to the launch weekend of last season.
Now in its eighth season, Sing! China is the longest running Chinese singing talent search show. In 2019, the celebrity coaching line-up includes first timers Wang Leehom and Li Ronghao, who join veterans Na Ying and Harlem Yu in search of the next voice of China. Viewers will be on the lookout for new Singaporean contestants, after the successes of Nathan Hartono and Joanna Dong in previous seasons.
2019 Sing! China airs every Friday at 9pm simulcast with China on e-Le on CAST and Singtel TV CH 11 FREE for Singtel customers, as well as on Jia Le Channel (Singtel TV CH 502).
