Following the immense success of Game of Thrones, HBO Asia continues to bring new shows and award-winning entertainment to its viewers. From a documentary in conjunction with Game of Thrones’ final season, to returning seasons of award-winning series Big Little Lies and The Handmaid’s Tale. In addition, brand new HBO Original Series Euphoria, CINEMAX Original Series Jett and brand new series Catch-22, will leave viewers spoilt for choice this May and June.
- Game of Thrones: The Last Watch– For those that are still reeling from the last episode of Game Of Thrones, do not miss the HBO Original documentary, Game Of Thrones: The Last Watch, which debuts same time as the U.S. at 9am on 27 May. The documentary delves deep into the mud and blood to reveal the tears and triumphs involved in the challenge of bringing the fantasy world of Westeros to life in the very real studios, fields and car-parks of Northern Ireland. An up-close and personal report from the trenches of production, follow the crew and the cast as they contend with extreme weather and punishing deadlines.
- Big Little Lies Season 2 – The new season of the HBO Original series Big Little Lies will continue to explore the malignancy of lies, the durability of friendships, the fragility of marriage and, of course, the vicious ferocity of sound parenting. With a stellar cast of Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, Zoë Kravitz and Meryl Streep, season 2 will premiere 10 June same time as the U.S. at 9am on exclusively HBO GO and HBO. The episode encores that same night at 10pm on HBO with new episodes premiering weekly.
- The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3 – Season 3 makes its anticipated return with three episodes on 6 June exclusively onHBO GO. A new episode of the 13-episode third season will premiere every subsequent Thursday. This season is driven by June’s resistance to the dystopian regime of Gilead and her struggle to strike back against overwhelming odds. Startling reunions, betrayals, and a journey to the terrifying heart of Gilead force all characters to take a stand, guided by one defiant prayer: “Blessed be the fight.”
- Euphoria – This brand new HBO Original drama series begins its eight-episode season on 17 June same time as the U.S. at 10am on HBO GO and HBO. New episodes premiere weekly. Following a group of high school students as they navigate love and friendships in a world of drugs, sex, trauma and social media, the series will be executive produced by Drake, along with manager Future the Prince. The ensemble cast includes: actor and singer Zendaya, Maude Apatow, Angus Cloud, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, Storm Reid, Hunter Schafer, Algee Smith and Sydney Sweeney. - Jett – For non-stop adrenaline and heart-pumping moments, the CINEMAX drama series Jettis expected to hit those notes. Staring Carla Gugino as world-class thief Daisy “Jett” Kowalski, fresh out of prison, she is forced back into doing what she does best, and a cast of morally ambivalent, dangerous and eccentric criminals, from budding femme fatales to compromised law enforcers, are determined to exploit her skills for their own ends. Jett begins its nine-episode season, same time as the U.S. at 10am, on June 15 on HBO GO and CINEMAX. - Catch-22 – The highly anticipated comedy drama is executive produced, directed and stars Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning actor and producer George Clooney. Filmed in Rome and Sardina, Italy, CATCH-22 is based on the celebrated novel of the same name written by Joseph Heller which follows the adventures of a U.S. air squadron in Italy where the world is being torn apart by World War II and the abuse of power. While all six episodes were released earlier on HBO GO on 18 May, the series airs on HBO on 4 June at 9.15pm. New episodes premiere weekly.
