HOOQ, Asia’s first and largest premium video-on-demand service, announced a deep strategic partnership with OVO, Indonesia’s most widely accepted payments platform, to bring premium entertainment to millions of users in Indonesia.  The partnership will see HOOQ integrated with OVO as a seamless video service and enables customers to pay for and watch HOOQ content on HOOQ from within the OVO environment.

 

The partnership between these two leading brands underscores both companies’ commitment to increase accessibility of entertainment to a wider Indonesian audience. HOOQ will be able to reach more customers by leveraging OVO’s user base of 60 million and OVO customers will be able to access HOOQ content within the OVO app as well as logging-in to HOOQ on their mobile, smart TV, tablet, desktop – truly empowering OVO customers to access premium entertainment anytime, anywhere.

 

The service will launch by the end of the year; OVO customers will be able to access over 10,000 hours of local Indonesia favourites and Hollywood titles, including HOOQ Originals such as Brata, Danur 2, Yowis Ben, Ayat Ayat Cinta 2 and Marlina the Murderer in Four Acts.  Hollywood fans can catch the latest TV series same day as U.S. telecast including Supergirl, The Flash, together with hot favourites such as Arrow, Gotham, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Community.
