Global distributor Fremantle announced the promotions of Angela Neillis to Senior Vice President, Non-scripted Content, and Rebecca Dundon to Vice President of Scripted Content. Both roles will report to Jens Richter, CEO, International, Fremantle.
Based in London, Neillis joined Fremantle in 2013 and has led the efforts in bolstering the distributor’s non-scripted slate. In her new role, Neillis will head the London and LA non-scripted content acquisitions teams and continue her work to drive Fremantle’s non-scripted acquisition strategy of developing, financing and securing content from Fremantle’s in-house production teams and world-class third-party producers. Over the years, Neillis has forged relationships with a list of impressive non-scripted talent including Jamie Oliver, Nigella Lawson & BBC Studios, Naked, True to Nature, Lightbox Entertainment, Atlantic Productions and Associated Producers.
In her new role, Dundon will continue to head up the Scripted Content team with her remit expanding to oversee scripted acquisitions for Fremantle’s distribution division globally including North America. Responsible for acquiring distinct and high-impact drama titles to complement the company’s existing pipeline, Dundon will reinforce and further drive Fremantle’s scripted strategy by establishing and maintaining relationships with third party producers, identifying new opportunities and creatively approaching deals to maximize returns. She will continue to work closely with Fremantle’s family of global drama producers to help identify, develop and finance internationally appealing scripted titles to be distributed by Fremantle.
Since joining Fremantle, Dundon has established key relationships with esteemed producers Working Title, Kudos, AbbottVision, Red Productions and Spiral Pictures.
With the new structure in place, Fremantle is now looking to hire a new Acquisitions Manager to join the Non-Scripted Content team. Directly reporting to Neillis, the role will be responsible for identifying new premium content for acquisition, negotiating deals and expanding Fremantle’s producer relationships.
