PARIS/SEOUL – Esports BAR, the leading networking, knowledge-sharing and business event for companies operating in the international esports ecosystem, is heading to South Korea on August 3, 2018.
Following the successful launch of Esports BAR Cannes and Esports BAR Miami in 2017, the first Esports BAR Summit will take place in the South Korean capital during the Game Convention Seoul co-organised by Reed Exhibitions Korea and ReedPop.
Organised by Reed MIDEM, in partnership with Reed Exhibitions Korea, Esports BAR Summit at Game Convention Seoul will be an invitation-only, one-day event bringing together 50 key Asian and international esports industry leaders.
Attendees will be drawn from game publishers, endemic and non-endemic brands, media, tournament organisers and esports teams. The summit will bring together Asian and international leaders in the field of esports to participate in round-table discussions on the future development of esports and to hear expert keynote speakers share their vision of esports development perspectives in Asia and internationally.
Launched in February 2017, the first edition of Esports BAR Cannes welcomed 115 delegates from 69 companies and 18 countries. The first Esports BAR Miami, in September 2017, hosted 100 leading esports executives from 63 companies and 17 countries. Last February, Esports BAR Cannes brought together 300 delegates from 128 companies in 40 countries, with many industry leaders calling for an additional event in Asia.
The Esports BAR events have already attracted leading companies operating in the esports ecosystem. They include ESL, EA, Facebook, Activision Blizzard, Fnatic, Bundesliga, Turner Sports, Millenial Esports, Nielsen Esports, Team Vitality, Webedia, GINX, Hi-Rez Studios, Gameloft, Ubisoft, Super Evil Megacorp, CNB E-Sports Club, Clube Atletico Mineiro, G2 Esports, Rox Tigers, SK Gaming, Team One, Twitch, HyperX and AMC Networks International.
Major international brands that have already embraced the Esports BAR concept include Visa, The Coca-Cola Company, Renault, Pepsico, Air Asia, BMW, Best Buy, Petronas and Domino’s Pizza.
