Singapore– At Asia TV Forum: Iris Xia, Deputy General Manager of Canxing/Star China International Media Ltd. announced top ratings for Guess The Mask Singer which won its time period over all of China for the second edition of the variety competition. Nine of its contestants also ranked number 1 on the Sina Weibo Hot Search list.
The entire series received a #1 rating for eleven consecutive weeks on Sunday evenings among all nationally telecast variety programs with an accumulated online viewership of more than 1.28 billion since its premiere.
Sina Weibo’s “hot topic” views of the grand finale ceremony on social media increased 0.22 billion. The accumulated views and related “hot topic” discussions for the entire season reached 4.31 billion times and 5.57 million times respectively. The Sina Weibo Hot topic #GuessTheMaskSinger ranked No. 1 of the “Hot Topics” selection among all social media platforms in China during the whole telecasting period. The total number of songs played from the KuGou music App reached over 2.07 billion times for the entire season. KuGou is one of the most widely used music player apps in China.
