London – Entertainment One (eOne) has tapped Joyce Yeung as Executive Vice President Sales, APAC, announced by Stuart Baxter, President, eOne Television International. Based in the Company’s recently opened Hong Kong office and reporting to Baxter, Yeung will lead sales efforts and the Asia Pac team to drive sales across all eOne Film and TV content to broadcasters and OTT platforms across PayTV, FreeTV, SVOD and AVOD throughout the region.
Yeung’s appointment is part of eOne’s overall expansion strategy to build and broaden relationships with new and existing clients and leverage the high growth of all content sales activity within the local markets. eOne has built an international footprint of sales offices across Europe, US, Australia, Canada, with Germany and now Hong Kong added to the growing infrastructure. In addition to Yeung, eOne recently appointed Dan Gopal as Executive Vice President, Sales to lead the EMEA sales efforts.

Prior to joining eOne, Yeung was Executive Vice President of Global Content Sales at BBC Worldwide where she oversaw the TV sales team’s efforts in maximizing the company’s portfolio. She joined BBC Worldwide in 2008 as Senior Vice President & General Manager for BBC Worldwide’s Sales and Distribution business in Asia, based in Hong Kong. She then took up the role of EVP and GM, Asia BBC Worldwide and was responsible for all of BBC Worldwide’s businesses in Asia. Prior to joining BBC Worldwide, Yeung was VP sales and business development for Sparrowhawk Media (now merged under NBC Universal) and was with Disney International Television Asia Pacific for 11 years where her last role was Executive Sales Director.

With over 500 hours of compelling new content delivered last year, eOne’s current lineup of original and acquired television content now features 42 series and long-form programs commissioned by over 20 different broadcast and cable networks including mega-hit The Walking Dead, companion series Fear the Walking Dead and other major AMC and SundanceTV scripted series through the Company’s multi-year distribution agreement with AMC Networks, as well as Designated Survivor from eOne’s The Mark Gordon Company; and eOne produced original series ICE, You Me Her and Rogue for DirecTV; the upcoming Sharp Objects, from director Jean-Marc Vallée and starring Amy Adams for HBO; Mary Kills People for Global and Lifetime; Ransom from executive producer Frank Spotnitz for CBS, Global, TF1, RTL; Gap Year for E4 and Hulu; Cardinal starring Billy Campbell for CTV and Hulu; and currently in production on their debut seasons, The Detail starring Shenae Grimes-Beech, Angela Griffin and Joanne Kelly for CTV and ION, and Burden of Truth starring Kristin Kreuk for CBC.
