Armoza Formats’ studio entertainment show The Bubble has been acquired by top US production company ITV Entertainment (part of ITV America), home to such unscripted series as FOX’s Hell’s Kitchen, A&E’s The First 48 and the new Queer Eye reboot for Netflix.
More relevant than ever in a digital world, The Bubble (30-45’) is a highly adaptable entertainment format that isolates celebrity contestants in a “bubble” for an entire week – no internet, no mobile phones, no TV – and then brings them into the studio where they learn of the past week’s current affairs and are asked to distinguish the real news from the fake. Whether highlighting stories from the arenas of politics, international events, sports, entertainment or other trending topics, The Bubble is a world where reality can be stranger than fiction.
The internationally successful format has already aired more than 100 episodes in eight countries, including in primetime in the UK (BBC), Croatia (HTV1) and Sweden (STV).
David Eilenberg, President of ITV Entertainment, “Armoza Formats consistently takes risks by creating high-quality and format-friendly entertainment content that explores cultural issues in unusual ways, ultimately resonating with audiences all around the world. We are delighted to continue to be in business with Armoza Formats and look forward to making The Bubble rise to great heights in the US.”
