To mark this significant date, AFL Productions decided to make a present to “Maski” and Virtual Reality Fans by launching a VR application for the revered comictroupe. Now, fans will be able to download all 8 episodes from the first season, 2 of which will be presented absolutely free.
The cоmic troupe “Maski” gained international acclaim from their initial appearance at Moscow’s International Festival of Students in 1984. They were signed for touring shows in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Successfully traveling the world, creating a new repertoire of live performances and developing their own style of clown theater based on silent cinema, the comic troupe “Maski” didn’t stop there.
Short History of comic-troupe “MASKI”:
In 1991, the troupe started producing a television comedy series in the silent cinema style called “Maski-Show” from their home base of Odessa. The series very quickly began to win the love of viewers not only in CIS countries, but also internationally. Today, there are about 100 films from the series in the group’s vault, many of which have won prestigious national and international awards.
George Deliev, the artisitic inspiration behind the troupe from day one, speaks about the new project: “Maski toured in Germany, Denmark, Poland, Great Britain, Japan, and Colombia. Everywhere, our humor and our art has been understandable, universal, edgy, and funny! The audiences have always been very bright and warm. And now we’re working with Virtual Reality. I think this is a modern, unusual and unique technology that opens up new tools for interaction between the artists and the audience. The main advantage of VR is the tremendous effect of presence, the feeling that the action is being played directly around you the viewer! ”
