The leading commercial television station in Belgium, VTM, just acquired Prime Entertainment Group’s new documentary Oakland’s Juvenile Squad to be aired on VTM Niews starting April.
VTM is the first television station in Flanders and forms part of a network of channels owned by Medialaan. The parent company also operates sister channels Kzoom, 2BE, JIM and Vitaya.
Oakland’s Juvenile Squad Is a great investigation documentary covering the work of Oakland’s juvenile squad police department. The show follows lieutenant Willy and its team of expert police men and women as they dismantle one of the most terrifying and common crimes of the Californian city suburbs: sex slavery and trafficking of minor girls.
David Freydt, Managing Director of Prime says, “This is our 5th deal with VTM in less than a year, it’s a pleasure dealing with them. They are looking for fresh and strong documentaries and we are truly glad that they find them within our diverse catalog”.
Since 2016 Prime and Medialaan have closed several deal’s especially for the GIRAF PROD’s programs which they distribute on exclusivity worldwide. Titles include Zara: The Story of the World’s Richest Man, The True Story of Angelina Jolie and Free Fights among others.
The Paris and L.A based Producer and Distributor has a growing presence in the Belgian territory. Its programs are being very successful on channels such as RTBF, RTL, SBS Belgium, TELENET.
