Europe – The story of love and struggle of young Eliza , the telenovela’s main character, will sweep Georgia off its feet in Eastern Europe. One of Globo’s flagships for 2017, the plot has already been licensed to air in Dubai, Israel, French Africa and Uruguay, during the prime time of Rustavi TV – one of the most important television networks in the country, featuring broad programming for all age ranges. The network has already aired other Brazilian telenovelas, such as Brazil Avenue, Looks & Essence and Gabriela . This marks Globo’s return to little screens in Georgia after a four-year hiatus.
The telenovela’s romantic, comic and laid-back plot speaks to different audiences and generations, who can relate with the modern-day fairy tale lived by Eliza, a simple girl who runs away from a troubled past to try her luck in the big city. She gets mugged shortly after arriving in Rio de Janeiro and is forced to live on the street. She later crosses paths with Jonatas , a humble young man who falls in love with the girl and helps her survive. In a twist of fate, Eliza is reunited with Arthur , a charming and gallant man who owns a modeling agency, whom she met while still living in the countryside. With his help, the young girl gets a chance to turn her life around by joining a contest that will choose the new Total Dreamer Girl . But to become a successful model, her path will be far more difficult than expected, while she is also forced to decide who her true love is. The telenovela features a star-studded cast of world-renowned actors, such as Juliana Paes , Humberto Martins and Vivianne Pasmanter .
With scenes shot in breathtaking landscapes across Uruguay and Australia, Total Dreamer reached more than 182 million viewers in Brazil – considering individuals who tuned in for at least 1 minute of the entire telenovela . The show was also a major success in Portugal, ranked among the TOP 5 most watched pay TV shows in the country. In Brazil, the telenovela also featured several multiplatform initiatives, created to enhance the fans’ experience, expanding its content to the online world. The strategy was to air a Chapter Zero, before the TV premiere, as well as a spin-off with new stories, aired after the last chapter exclusively on Globo Play – Globo’s VOD platform –, totaling over 3 million views.
