Hong Kong – Celestial Tiger Entertainment (CTE), operator of the largest bouquet of pan-Asian channels dedicated to Asian entertainment, announced the launch of Miao Mi, a Mandarin edutainment app, on the App Store in the U.S. and Canada. The app provides preschoolers ages 3 to 6 with an immersive experience for learning Mandarin. The Miao Mi app is based on CTE’s pan-Asian pay TV channel of the same name and will roll out in Asia in the third quarter of this year. The Miao Mi app will also be made available on Google Play in the U.S. and Canada .
The Miao Mi app features over 500 videos from renowned children’s entertainment producers across Asia in both English and Mandarin. Kids can enjoy high quality shows such as Pleasant Goat Fun Class, an educational series featuring beloved characters from the well-known Pleasant Goat franchise, and Star Babies, the award-winning animated series inspired by Chinese icons such as Bruce Lee and the Monkey King. Kids can also watch and learn simple Mandarin phrases and words through Miao Mi Classroom, a CTE original production of short vignettes teaching Mandarin through animated flash cards and catchy songs. The app also includes fun and interactive games to reinforce the words and phrases featured in the programs. The Miao Mi app has a child-friendly navigation interface and English/Mandarin language support.
