Tokyo, Japan – WAKUWAKU JAPAN Corporation has announced that it will begin broadcasting in Indonesia, Myanmar, Singapore, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, and Mongolia, a new original series, Anisong Station, to share information on the latest Japanese anime songs.
Multiple fans throughout the world have become passionate about the music and songs from Japanese anime cartoons, as anime for Japan have grown in popularity across the globe. WAKUWAKU JAPAN has begun working with Label Gate Co., Ltd. and Yurayura Kick Corporation to bring the latest anime songs to a global audience on a regular basis, meeting the expectations and needs of those passionate fans. The result is an originally produced and broadcast program, Anisong Station, specifically for anime songs.
That program will be aired weekly and will center around Anisong Ranking, a ranking specifically for anime songs, as well as live and original studio performances from Anisong singers. In addition, there are various planned segments, including on-location visits from the program MCs, Daimao Kosaka and Ryoga to various record producers, anime magazine editors, animation studios and sites related to anime songs and anime programs, which will be called Anisong Station Salon. Other segments include a showcase of dance members to famous anime songs by the otaku dance troupe, Real Akiba Boyz
Guests for the initial broadcast will be Konomi Suzuki and Shiena Nishizawa. The interview segment will feature the two MCs on an unplanned visit to the editorial staff for the Seiyu Grand Prix magazine, which focuses on Seiyu (voice actors). The anime song dance showcase will feature breakdancing from the Real Akiba Boyz to Zenzenzense (RADWIMPS), the theme song from last year’s anime hit movie, Your Name, as well.
Anisong Station will be broadcast on WAKUWAKU JAPAN, for its worldwide premiere, one day earlier than in Japan. Anisute will serve to increase the popularity of anime song artists, both within Japan and overseas, through weekly episodes that share the latest anime song information, and will create venues for the greater use of anime songs. Various events are planned in conjunction with the program, including Anisong festival. This multipronged approach to development will help to convey how wonderful anime songs to the entire world.
