Israel, TelAviv – The channel, in partnership with Moskito Finland, will air the new season on their female-skewed channel AVA from April, with Finland’s adaptation of Gogglebox set to feature this new season. Additionally, Israel’s HOT is set to air their 8th season this summer with a new celebrity cast.
Based on the culture of online self-exposure, Connected is a revolutionary format that gives cameras to five men or women who don’t know each other, which they use to film their lives. Through the cameras, five parallel stories unfold and gradually become connected as each participant experiences transformative life changes and journeys of self-discovery. This docu-reality is an incredible journey into the very real, and uncannily connected, lives of men and women in a way you’ve never seen them before. Connected has previously aired in 13 countries, including the US, Ireland, the Netherlands and Norway.
Eevamaria Vassinen, Channel Manager AVA, MTV Oy, “‘Connected’ is the original vlog format whose core concept is based on all of our needs to feel inspired by and connected with other people. This season we are excited to be featuring five inspiring female celebrities, all coming from different backgrounds and stages in their personal lives and who are willing to show to all of us that it is okay to be fragile, sad or happy.”
Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, “‘Connected’ has been so successful because of its unique method of sharing personal stories in an incredibly real way. We are looking forward to working on this new season with MTV and Moskito and are confident that it will continue to win the audience’s hearts.”
