New York – A+E Networks has appointed Sun Young Moon as Head of Content and Development, North Asia; it was announced by Edward Sabin, Executive Managing Director, International, A+E Networks. In her new role, Moon will be responsible for all content planning and initiatives across Japan and Korea for A+E Networks in support of the company’s continued growth across the territories, including spearheading significant expansion in local original content and overseeing program acquisitions and scheduling.
She will work closely with the local GM’s and the content teams in both countries to deliver on A+E Networks’ ambitious goals in the region. Based in Seoul, Ms. Moon will report to Saugato Banerjee, General Manager – North Asia.

Moon joins A+E Networks from FOX International Channels (FIC) where she served as VP of Programming and the Channel Head of National Geographic Channels Asia, Star World Asia and Channel [V] Asia. She first joined FIC as part of the National Geographic Channel (NGC) team in FIC Korea and later relocated to the Middle East to head up NGC Abu Dhabi where she launched Nat Geo Abu Dhabi in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Media Company. Ms. Moon then moved to FIC Hong Kong to head the National Geographic Channels Asia team.
