New York – A+E Networks’ trailblazing FYI format BRIDE & PREJUDICE debuted with outstanding ratings on Seven Network Australia; it was announced by Ellen Lovejoy, Vice President, International Content Sales, A+E Networks.
BRIDE & PREJUDICE: THE FORBIDDEN WEDDINGS, the first episode of the locally produced eight-part series, debuted against solid competition for the launch of the new season, ranking #1 in the 9pm time slot among Total Viewers and all key demos averaging 1.2 million (Metro & Regional) viewers. It ranked #2 for the night with Women 25-54, just behind Australia’s top rated show My Kitchen Rules on Seven Network.
The ratings achieved by BRIDE & PREJUDICE come on the heels of other successful A+E Networks formats launches. ALONE, which launched on DR3 in Denmark, January 1 in the highly competitive 21:00 time slot to rank in the Top 3 new series premieres in the history of the channel? ALONE also ranked #3 in its time slot. Episode 2 attracted an even bigger audience and together the first two episodes grew the time period on DR3 by 277% over the channel’s 2016 average. SEVEN YEAR SWITCH launched its first international commission in Australia to enormous success in 2016. The series was the #1 show in its time slot in all key demos on Seven Network.
