Singapore – HBO is once again the home of the Oscars in Asia this year. Subscribers across Asia can get the ultimate Oscars experience of the 89th Academy Awards direct from Hollywood across multiple screens on TV and connected mobile devices, in addition to red carpet exclusives and backstage interviews on the network’s website and social platforms.
Starting with the 89th Oscars Nominations, several Oscar-winning and nominated Academy members including Jennifer Hudson, Brie Larson, Emmanuel Lubezki, Jason Reitman and Ken Watanabe will join Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs to reveal the 24 Oscars award categories at the 89th Oscars Nominations. Watch it live on HBO and on HBO Go* at 9.18pm on January 24, 2017.
The 89th Academy Awards will broadcast on February 27 live across Asia on HBO and streamed live HBO Go* starting with the Oscars Red Carpet ‘Live’ from 8am followed by the 89th Oscars at 9.30am. Both programs will encore that same night on HBO at 7pm and 8pm respectively. Held at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, the 89th Oscars will be hosted by the late-night talk show host, producer and comedian Jimmy Kimmel. This will be Jimmy Kimmel’s first time hosting the Academy Awards.
