Singapore – MTV announced Đông Nhi is the Best Southeast Asia Act winner for the 2016 MTV EMA, which will be broadcast live around the globe from the Ahoy Rotterdam in Rotterdam, Netherlands on MTV and MTV LIVE HD. The Best Local Act winners were selected by fans, who have voted on the MTV’s EMA website. Fans voted for Đông Nhi from Vietnam, who received the highest number of votes to beat the competition, which included Bunkface (Malaysia), Gentle Bones (Singapore), Raisa (Indonesia), Sarah Geronimo (Philippines), Thaitanium (Thailand), and Yuna (Malaysia).

Vietnamese singer Đông Nhi is the winner of The Remix 2015 competition and said to be the EDM trendsetter in the local market. She is also the co-founder of 6th Sense Entertainment JSC.
