Warsaw, Poland – Scripps Networks Interactive announced that TVN will add three popular lifestyle channels to its network line up beginning in January 2017. TVN recently announced the launch of HGTV, the most popular lifestyle channel in the U.S., which will take over the slot now held by TVN Meteo Active. Poland is the first European market to introduce its viewers to HGTV. Also joining the TVN bouquet of channels are Food Network and Travel Channel.
HGTV will introduce Polish viewers to superstar experts, wonderful homes, breathtaking gardens, fascinating families, compelling renovations and stunning transformations that make all things home fun. The channel will air well-known international formats, such as House Hunters, Fixer Upper and Flip or Flop, as well as local formats full of fun, great emotions and interesting characters. HGTV will feature well-known stars such as Maja Popielarska and Dorota Szelągowska, as well as rising talents Katarzyna Kuźma and Jimie Ogden.
Food Network (currently known as Polsat Food in the region) is designed for people passionate about cooking and those looking for programs that showcase exquisite cuisine that sparks emotions. Food Network will feature competition, challenges, cooking tips and journeys to explore new tastes. Food Network will also continue to air popular shows such as Ewa Gotuje (Ewa in the Kitchen) and Gotowanie z Okrasą (Cooking with Okrasa).
Travel Channel is the ideal destination for travellers who want to experience a thrilling quest or get a dose of epic adventure with a splash of fun. Viewers will explore the unexplored, set off for breathtaking expeditions to find lost treasures and visit people living in extreme parts of the world.
TVN Group will be responsible for broadcasting HGTV, Food Network and Travel Channel in the Polish market. TVN Media will provide comprehensive marketing management. HGTV and Travel Channel will also be a part of the Premium TV offer.
