Singapore – Singapore-based August Media Holdings (AMH) announced that it has entered into a licensing agreement with Epigram Books that will see the popular kids’ book series Sherlock Sam being adapted for TV and Film. Written by Singaporean husband-wife couple Adam Jimenez and Felicia Low-Jimenez under the pseudonym A. J. Low, the books are a huge hit among kids in Singapore and across South East Asia.

Cleverly told with a mix of logic and offbeat humour, the award-winning Sherlock Sam series feature full-length mysteries surrounding Samuel Tan Cher Lock, Singapore’s greatest kid detective and his trusty robot and a host of rich, diverse characters in an ever-expanding universe. The stories explore locations in Singapore and around the world, craftily retaining a distinct cultural identity while offering a universal appeal for middle-grade readers. The books originally published by Singapore publisher Epigram Books, were also picked up in the US by Andrew McMeels Publishing. The first two titles were released in the US in August 2016.
