Endemol Shine Group’s digital production and distribution studio Endemol Shine Beyond announced further international rollouts of its hit global gaming format Legends of Gaming in the Netherlands and Israel. The format originally launched in the U.K. in 2014 where the channel has now reached 1 million subscribers and more than 90 million views. The most recent productions in the Netherlands and Israel have already been generating around 50,000 views a day. Legends of Gaming NL, which launched earlier this month, has already garnered more than 155,000 subscribers and nearly 3 million views. Samsung and telecommunications company KPN sponsor the Dutch version which features eight of the top online gaming creators in the country such as EnzoKnol and DagelijksHaaDee, with a combined subscriber base of the legends reaching over 4million on YouTube.
Sponsored by leading Israeli communications group Partner, Legends of Gaming Israel launched at the end of last month, featuring a host of Israel’s best YouTube creators including Sugarzaza and Hillel Parody and has generated nearly 2.5 million views. The 8 legends featured, who have over 1000 million combined views on their own YouTube channels, will battle it out over three months for the title of Legend of Gaming and a raft of prizes including an XboxOne, a big screen TV, sound projector and additional connected devices. Content will air across the Legends of Gaming Israel channel and Partner’s 4GTV app.
Since its launch in the U.K. in 2014 the Legends of Gaming format has now rolled out in eight territories across the world with local language versions featuring local gaming superstars. This includes the U.S.A where Endemol Shine Beyond has just partnered with Mashable for a third season, as well as Brazil, France, Germany and Chile. In the U.K. the live gaming event for 20,000 gamers Legends of Gaming Live at Alexandra Palace in London has just taken place for its second consecutive year and reached nearly 600,000 live streams on Twitch.
