Tokyo, Japan– WOWOW announced its first batch of para-athletes appearing in Who I Am, a para-athlete sports documentary series, in collaboration with the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), as part of a five-year agreement leading up to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. The series will focus on the stories of a number of para-athletes following their journey to the Rio 2016, PyeongChang 2018, and Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
The eight athletes first up to appear include Daniel Dias, Ellie Cole, Marlou van Rhijn, Ricardinho, Safet Alibasic, Shingo Kunieda, Zahra Nemati and Tatyana McFadden. In addition, WOWOW has enlisted Kunihiko Ryo to produce the original theme for the series and Keiichi Nitta to capture photography.
