Globo’s thriller, The Party is set to debut in the Dominican Republic on 31 March. The miniseries has already made its way to South Korea, Portugal, Costa Rica and Uruguay, among others.
The Party is a re-interpretation of a telenovela blockbuster of the same name aired by Globo in 1974, featuring a revamped storyline: the entire plot takes place in a 24-hour period filled with lots of suspense, ambition, hidden agendas and uncontrollable passions.
In Brazil, the telenovela reached 24 million viewers (source: Ibope). In the last month in which the miniseries aired, more than one million mentions were recorded on a social network. The show also hit the small screens in Portugal (SIC) and ranked among the top 20 most watched programs in the country (Source: GFK).
