In its first ever edition from Myanmar/Burma, the BBC Burmese audience-participation radio programme, Lut Latt Ah Twe, Swey Nway Pe Lair (Have Your Say), will bring together a wide cross-section of Burmese youth to discuss what they hope the newly elected government will achieve.
In a first for the programme, and as Myanmar’s new administration takes office on 1 April, an audience of over 100 young people in Rangoon will talk directly with a panel of experts, politicians and activists. Hosted by the BBC Burmese journalist,Thet Htwe Naing, this edition of Lut Latt Ah Twe, Swey Nway Pe Lair invites young people to discuss what they expect from the government they have elected – and what they themselves can do to help their expectations come to pass.
Using this unique opportunity for face-to-face engagement with the country’s leading public figures, the audience will talk about their experiences in the job market; empowering young people; how the country’s education system should develop – and other issues that matter to them.
