At the 43^rd International Emmy Awards, Globo walked home with two awards. Sweet Mother was awarded with Best Comedy and Empire won the Best Telenovela category.

Empire and Sweet Mother were introduced to the international market in January 2015. Present at the event, Ricardo Scalamandré, Globo’s Head of International Business, says, “Our productions thrill not only our audiences in Brazil, but also spectators around the world. I always say that we have a special, unique way of telling stories, and the Academy’s double recognition once again confirms the success of this format. Today, we celebrate!”
