Cologne– The documentary sales company Autentic Distribution will present the current highlights of its programme range at MIPCOM. This will feature intimate insights into the power struggles engaged in during the Greek crisis by the German Federal Minister of Finance, Wolfgang Schäuble; into the unrelenting fight engaged in by mothers against the jihad of their sons; into the racing sportspeople who became legends; as well as into spectacular images of the lives of the kings of the air.
Against the background of stirring events, the renowned documentary filmmaker Stephan Lamby relates the political life of the German Minister of Finance in Wolfgang Schäuble – Facing the Euro Crisis. To do so, he accompanied the 72-year-old exclusively for half a year and was at internal discussions with Schäuble’s staff in Berlin, at meetings of the Eurogroup in Brussels and Luxembourg, and at talks with investment bankers in New York.
Further flash points with effects just as far-reaching are the jihad fights, the so-called Holy War. The current production Jihad – War Without Borders provides a remarkable insight into the deadly structures of a new type of underground movement. The team accompanied religious fighters from the Ukraine and Czech Republic and documented how these equally radical groups admitted other religions into their network.
The TV documentary about the Mothers Schools from Women Without Borders shows the work of Edit Schlaffer, Mothers Fighting Jihad, which supports mothers across large tracts of the Islamic world. The film accompanies the Viennese sociologist, feminist activist and founder of Women Without Borders on her travels.
