The package includes big topic documentaries related to Discovery, Science, History, Crime and Travel. Both companies focus their collaboration on the territories of France and the USA.
SVOD seems to be a growing part of Prime Entertainment Group’s business since they are announcing at the same time two other package deals with SVOD platforms. On late August one package of more than 140 hours for Asia was closed with the company 108 MEDIA including Entertainment and Celebrity content, Fitness, Music, Travel and Combat Sports.
And just this week Prime also contracted for the USA-CANADA a package deal of 75 episodes of their own production of Cinema and Celebrity content with the Platform Viddy Up operated by the video sharing company Keep Tree Inc.
“It’s a true satisfaction to keep our business relationship growing with Netflix, they are very professional so you have to be technically very accurate in order to fulfil their expectations. So every new deal is like a compliment for us. We also really feel that this SVOD market is growing stronger; we have more and more big players coming to us knowing that they will find the quality and the quantity in all genres within our catalogue, which is important for them. And at the same time these actors start to pay really well now. It’s of course another big motivation to keep being ahead on this market,” says David Freydt, Managing Director of Prime Entertainment Group.
