Award-winning Liebermann joins CNN International after reporting extensively for the network from Jerusalem, Ramallah, Bethlehem and Tel Aviv. He has covered stories including Israel’s elections, the conferring of sainthood on two Palestinians by Pope Francis, and reaction to the Iran nuclear deal.
Elsewhere, he has also played a key role in CNN’s coverage of the Nepal earthquake. He will now be based in the network’s Jerusalem bureau. Prior to joining CNN, he was a reporter for CBS 3 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has earned Associated Press Awards and Emmy Awards for his reporting and features, and for team coverage of Hurricane Irene. He is also fluent in Hebrew.
