Kuala Lumpur – iflix announced it has acquired exclusive streaming rights in Malaysia and the Philippines for the wildly popular, Emmy® nominated television series from Starz, Black Sails, and other hit STARZ Original series and TV programming.
The dramatic adventure series, Black Sails, a prequel to the classic Robert Louis Stevenson novel “Treasure Island,” centers on the tales of Captain Flint, who has a reputation throughout the West Indies as being the most brilliant, most feared of all the Golden Age pirates. The captivating, award-winning show has been renewed for its third season, with every episode available online only on iflix.
The recently inked agreement with Starz Digital, the global digital and on-demand licensing and content syndication arm of Starz, will give iflix subscribers in Malaysia and the Philippines unlimited access to some of the most popular STARZ premium pay-TV Series, which in addition to Black Sails, includes The White Queen and all four seasons of the epic STARZ Original series Spartacus. With their action packed story lines and powerful characters, Black Sails, Spartacus and The White Queen will be dynamic additions to iflix’s diverse content offering.
Iflix Group CEO, Mark Britt commented, “Our partnership with Starz Digital brings a phenomenal mix of immersive dramas to our members. We strive continuously to provide the best content available to our subscribers. We are incredibly excited to be able to offer brilliant shows that are global phenomena like Black Sails, The White Queen and Spartacus to stream on iflix.”
