Kuala Lumpur – iflix announced it has acquired exclusive streaming rights in Malaysia and the Philippines for the wildly popular, Emmy® nominated television series from Starz, Black Sails, and other hit STARZ Original series and TV programming.
The dramatic adventure series, Black Sails, a prequel to the classic Robert Louis Stevenson novel “Treasure Island,” centers on the tales of Captain Flint, who has a reputation throughout the West Indies as being the most brilliant, most feared of all the Golden Age pirates. The captivating, award-winning show has been renewed for its third season, with every episode available online only on iflix.
The recently inked agreement with Starz Digital, the global digital and on-demand licensing and content syndication arm of Starz, will give iflix subscribers in Malaysia and the Philippines unlimited access to some of the most popular STARZ premium pay-TV Series, which in addition to Black Sails, includes The White Queen and all four seasons of the epic STARZ Original series Spartacus. With their action packed story lines and powerful characters, Black Sails, Spartacus and The White Queen will be dynamic additions to iflix’s diverse content offering.

Having recently launched in Malaysia and the Philippines, iflix will roll out its world class service to additional key Southeast Asian markets, including Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam throughout 2015, offering consumers more than 11,000 hours of top U.S., Asian regional, and local TV shows and movies. Each subscription will allow a user to access the service on five Internet capable devices such as mobile, tablet, computer, or television set, for viewing anywhere, anytime.
