Seoul – JEI Corporation, education specialised subsidiary of JEI group in South Korea and Da Vinci Media GmbH, a global independent media conglomerate headquartered out of Berlin signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a business partnership in the area of broadcasting and education business in Korea. As part of this partnership, in the first phase, JEI English TV will launch a Da Vinci Learning branded block from August 3, 2015 with various themes such as science, art and history.
These educational programmes will run 4 hours a day from 10AM – 12PM and 6PM – 8PM. Da Vinci Learning programs will also be available on JEI TV, a kid’s channel of JEI Corporation from September 2015, two hours a day from 10AM – 11AM and 11PM – Midnight.
Park Sung-hoon, Chairman of JEI Group, was joined by other luminaries including, Jong-woo, Park, CEO of JEI Corporation, Soo-ho, Lee, Director of Broadcasting division, Jin-won, Jang, Head of broadcasting of JEI.
They welcomed Ferdinand Habsburg, Chairman of Davinci Media GmbH, who was accompanied by Mohit Anand, Managing Director and Soyoung Choi, Korea representative.
Through the MOU, they agreed to mobilize all efforts in order to pursue the broadcasting business through a content partnership and expand the education business in Korea based on a shared vision of interactive fun education in the digital age.
The MOU also covers various other initiatives to be rolled out in the future including;
- · Active cooperation in the area of broadcasting business in Korea
- · Close cooperation for the expansion of the education business in Korea
- · Active cooperation in supporting each other in the global expansion plans of both companies
With the branded block rolling out on JEI English TV from August 3, 2015, marks the debut of Da Vinci Learning in the Korean market. This roll-out heralds the first major cooperation between both companies as part of the strategic partnership that both companies have entered into through the MOU signed.
