Singapore − Singtel announced the launch of Indonesia’s premier sinetron channel, MNC Drama, on Singtel TV. Making its Singapore debut on Singtel TV Channel 618, MNC Drama promises marathons of epic Indonesian melodramas and entertainment for the whole family.

“We are pleased to be introducing the only dedicated sinetron channel in Singapore. Fans will be the first to catch the latest episodes of their favourite soap operas at the same time as they air in Indonesia, through simulcast arrangements with MNC Drama Indonesia,” said Mr Goh Seow Eng, MD for Singtel’s Home Division. “MNC Drama joins our other premium Malay and Indonesian channels such as Astro Ria, Astro Prima, Showcase and more. Singtel TV now offers the most compelling Asian entertainment content for our Malay audience.”

A 24-hour channel with the tagline, “A Full Day of Drama”, MNC Drama will broadcast 12 hours of fresh content a day, featuring brand-new productions such as −Tukang Bubur Naik Haji (starring Mat Solar, Nani Wijaya); Aisyah Putri The Series: Jilbab in Love (starring Anna Gilbert, Henidar Amroe); and Istri yang Dikhianati (starring Shireen Sungkar, Lian Firman).

The channel will feature past favourites too – viewers can also look forward to re-watching all 676 episodes of the classic Putri Yang Ditukar and the award-winning 1002-episode Cinta Fitri.

MNC Drama is free for existing Singtel TV subscribers of the new Inspirasi Mini, Inspirasi Starter, Inspirasi Trio, Inspirasi Variety and Inspirasi Value Packs. For the month of May, new subscribers will enjoy a series of discounts of up to 50 percent on a variety of Inspirasi price plans.
