Imagine Group Entertainment, an international TV production company headquartered in Singapore, is proud to announce the appointment of Patrick Schult as their new Director, Business Development.
Prior to joining Imagine Group Entertainment, Schult spent over 25 years building an international career in the media industry working across Asia, Europe, Africa and Australia in a variety of senior roles. With his television shows acquiring numerous awards for production excellence, Schult played an instrumental role in FremantleMedia where he oversaw production operations in Southern Europe and more recently held the role of CEO of FremantleMedia Asia. Under his leadership the company expanded into the key markets of India and China and grew to produce and air more than 40 programmes a year.
Schult’s knowledge of the business of content stems from his in-depth understanding of the creative aspects of production. From initiating a successful start-up in India to establishing a joint-venture in China, Schult was instrumental in driving key market entry strategy for FremantleMedia in Asia. As CEO, Patrick launched some of the world’s largest media brands throughout Asia including Idols, Got Talent and X Factor.
Mr. Riaz Mehta, President and Founder of Imagine Group Entertainment said, “Our business in Asia is rapidly expanding and Patrick brings a breadth and depth of experience that will help us grow exponentially.”
Schult comes to Imagine Group most recently from Media-Stable, where he served as the Founder and CEO. It was established with the support of Japanese partners to create, identify and distribute Asia originated content internationally. Schult commented on the move, ”Riaz saw the opportunity to align brands to entertainment properties long before anyone else did and I look forward to working with his team to expand on his success stories”.
Schult joins Imagine Group Entertainment on 20th April.
